i recall i was temp banned for like 2 days i think (this was like at least 8 years ago) i snuck into someone's base by jumping a wall had a look around but was accused of killing a pet i think they said it was a cow or sheep or something but i hadn't killed it and the ban was released early.

hello,

i want to start out by apologizing for my actions, i was xraying when i was probably around 11 -13 so probably around 6 years ago, i am truly embarrassed by my past actions, i was young and though that i was smart by cheating the system and i obviously realize now that it doesn't take a genius to install a texture pack. the reason for me coming back after being embarrassed of being banned is because of the sheer amount of nostalgia i have tied to this server, this server was my childhood and i cannot explain the amount of joy i had when i remembered the name and saw that it was still running. i hadn't realized  what i had until i was unbanned but i have never experienced such a beautiful community before or since i played this server, all i ask is for another chance to relive my childhood. i hope you are able to put yourself in my shoes and realize what i am being held from and hope you can consider unbaning for a chance to experience what my heart has been missing for such a long time.

I realize X-raying for Deepslate with 2 other people was a waste of mine and your time, when instead of doing things the right way I chose to do them the easy way.

How often can you be on?

Almost every day. I currently don't have a job due to a chronic illness, so most of my awake hours are spent in front of my computer. The hours online can vary from just an hour or two, to literally being online for the entire day.

Why do you want to be a Helper?

Ever since I started playing back in late 2010, I've wanted to develop, help and entertain others, and show them the wonders of this game. I've been staff on multiple servers and also had several smaller servers of my own. Including being a builder/moderator on a large-ish server and it's successor back in 2012-2015. It was said servers where I met Kolbi, Twiz and Zalom. I especially enjoy the behind the scenes process of this game. Setting up and tinkering with stuff is one of my favourite things to do.

What is one change you would like to see on Finmine and how would you try to implement it?

The main change I'd like to see is the addition of players being able to self claim land. As a player based in the EU I find it frustrating having to wait around for a staff member to be online. Other stuff could also be, but not limited to, a larger world, more community events, fewer restarts, and further polish of the Discord server.

How would others describe you?

From what I'm aware, people describe me as funny, easy to get along with, motivated, and a hard worker. Humor and sarcasm is deeply ingrained in the way I communicate, and I strive to try and keep the mood up.

As often as I can. I will be on more at night than anything else, but I can be on in the afternoon/evening hours.



Why do you want to be a Helper?
I am the type of person who likes and enjoys helping others because it brings me joy to do so. I love this community and all of the people in it. I am a positive person and can stay positive as difficulties come up. I am good at meeting new people and can communicate with people pretty well. I am a fast learner and will enjoy helping as many people as I can!


What is one change you would like to see on Finmine and how would you try to implement it?
I always enjoyed the minigames we had on the server and feel it would be fun to add some of them back. Maybe give small items to people who win these minigames/ do well in them. More events would also be fun I always remembered how fun they were. Another thing we could do is a Secret Santa event like we did in 2020.


How would others describe you?
A lot of my friends/family would describe me as a bit weird but also enjoyable. I am a nice person overall and am very welcoming to people and some of my friends see that. My family would say I'm hardworking and that I get stuff done. 

Another thing I would like to add is that I am an Eagle Scout.

Why do you want to be a Helper?

I recently got back into the server, I’ve been enjoying meeting new people and have been having a great time. I want to become a helper because I want to help this community grow. I enjoy helping players and solving any problems that arise. I was a moderator for a year and an admin on the same server for 2 years. I have experience with a variety of plugins such as World Edit, World Guard, Corerotect, Essentials, permissions ex, luckperms, and a few more. Since then I have also worked on my own personal servers and friends servers helping with plugins and a variety of backend work. I believe the skills I obtained over the years would be beneficial to Finmine.

What is one change you would like to see on Finmine and how would you try to implement it?

I would like to see players be more independent, such as being able to claim land and rank up without having to ask staff. Waiting for staff to claim land may be a dealbreaker for some people.

How would others describe you?

I have been described by friends and family as hardworking, knowledgeable, friendly, and funny.

How often can you be on?:

As often as possible. At least 2-3 days during weekdays and probably all weekend. I've been really excited to be back and I'm really looking forward to making up all the time I missed! Each day at least a pop-in to see if things are running smoothly, but each time I do play it'll definitely be for a couple of hours. 

Why do you want to be a Helper?:

I was a moderator for 3-4 years and I honestly really miss it. I enjoyed helping out players and being part of something bigger than just playing on Finmine. I loved all of the friendships I made and being able to make Finmine a safe and enjoyable place to play. 

What is one change you would like to see on Finmine and how would you try to implement it?:

Honestly, I really love where we're at right now. From the last time I played to now, there are massive differences (all good). The server has definitely been more modernized and it appears to have a slightly larger player base now. Really the only thing I would change is maybe having a little more promotion! Get the player base up a little more :) Maybe that isn't a good idea, but it's the only thing I've thought of. 

How would others describe you?:

They usually describe me as friendly, funny (I think I'm the funniest person alive), caring (I tend to put others before myself), and I've also been called a "ghoul" or "gremlin" by some because I have a lot of energy sometimes and act a fool in real life. I would like to think I get along with most people and even if I don't, I still am polite and do my best to still help them out. I am also fiercely loyal, I think other than being the more hilarious person I know, that is one of my biggest qualities. I love my friends and I would do literally anything for them.

When I don't have exams, mostly during the nights. I'm pretty open to be on whenever I possibly can.

Why do you want to be a Helper?

I want to be a helper on Finmine because I have a genuine passion for the people on this server. I believe I can contribute positively to the community as I have been around on the server for 8 years (since 2015) and can help others solve their issues they might encounter. Not only that, I think I can also contribute on the backend of the server and test stuff (it do be pretty fun and it helps the server).

What is one change you would like to see on Finmine and how would you try to implement it?

One change I would like to make is increase Finmine's community gatherings and helping set up fun events for the players. Finmine is a very close community but it feels like only a few of us gather to do stuff together. So, I think we could hold this events and make some sort of schedule so we can collaborate and organize these events. Perhaps we could also gather feedback from the community with surveys or anything of the sort. I did this with my rocketry club in college and it really changed things a lot!

How would others describe you?

They would describe myself as someone fun and spontaneous, although some of my friends describe me as a Team Fortress 2 player that sits on reddit all day (but that isn't true). I think I am someone that can hear people out and listen to them when they need me, but also someone that can be decisive if the situation requires it.
